The Pre-Kindergarten curriculum encompasses Religion, Reading and Math Readiness, Music, Art, Science, Health, Nutrition, and Social Studies. Our Pre-Kindergarten Program develops a firm spiritual and academic foundation upon which readiness skills are emphasized.
The overall goal in the Pre-Kindergarten classes is to foster and stimulate a sense of belonging and a desire to learn, in order to facilitate a smooth transition into the elementary grades. Appropriate social interaction is encouraged through playtime and learning. The development of fine and gross motor skills and academics is accomplished through playtime, games, exercise, arts and crafts, and storytime, all of which afford the students the opportunity to express themselves freely and with confidence. Parents are kept informed of student progress informally and three times a year, on a formal basis,, through trimester report card conferences. Our Pre-Kindergarten Happening at the close of the school year is a culmination of the year’s learning.
